FEATURES AND CONSTRUCTION:

CONTROL: Control system meets UL and CSA standards.
MECHANICAL READOUT: Fitted on the table elevation handwheel for accurately indicating table positioning.
FRAME: Cast iron frame, precision machined.
TABLE: Manufactured from high quality FC-25 cast iron with rib reinforcing for perfect alignment and maximum rigidity. Surface precision ground.
CUTTERHEAD: Choice of straight quick change and spiral cutterhead.
INFEED ROLLER: Corrugated, 75mm diameter.
OUTFEED ROLLER: Smooth surface, solid type, 50mm diameter.
TABLE ROLLER: Two, adjustable, 60mm diameter.
PRESSURE BAR: Cast iron, spring loaded, mounted concentric to cutterhead and fitted near knife-cutting circle. Solid type.
CHIP BREAKER: Ductile iron, spring loaded, sectional type, with independent 1/4" yield. Sections are mounted on steel bar just forward of knife-cutting circle and swing concentric to the cutterhead.

CENTRALIZED CONTROL PANEL

All motion controls of the planer are located at an easily accessible position. Feed speed can be read on the control panel, and can be adjusted by simply turning a regulator knob.
QUICK CHANGE STRAIGHT KNIFE CUTTERHEAD
The safety type quick change straight knife cutterhead is machined from mild carbon steel. Changing of knife inserts is quickly and conveniently accomplished by simply loosening the gib set screws and tapping them down. The cutterhead is fitted with 4 high speed steel knives. T.C.T. knives are optional.
DUST HOOD
The dust hood with 4" diameter outlet is provided at the outfeed end of the planer for collection to a dust collector.
SPIRAL CUTTERHEAD
The planer is equipped with an oversized spiral cutterhead. This provides high chip removal rate, superior surface finish and extremely low noise while cutting. Manufactured from alloy steel, the spiral cutterhead is precision machined, tempered, dynamically balanced and precision ground. Four-edge Tungsten carbide knife inserts are fitted in the helical slots of the cutterhead.
SECTIONAL INFEED ROLLER
The 75mm diameter section infeed roller is corrugated. Rubber plugs are fitted in the cast iron sections. The sectional infeed roller runs reversibly. Each section has an independent yield of 1/4", making it possible to feed strip stock of varying thickness without dangerous kickback.
